Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is an "Endocrine Disruptor"?
Think of your endocrine system as your body’s communication network. Endocrine disruptors are chemicals—often found in synthetic fabrics and toxic dyes—that "mimic" or block your natural hormones. Because the skin around your peach is so thin and permeable, it can absorb these chemicals (like PFAS and phthalates), which may interfere with your cycle, mood, and overall health. We use organic materials to keep those "uninvited guests" out.
Why is organic cotton better than "moisture-wicking" synthetics?
"Moisture-wicking" is usually just a fancy way of saying the fabric is coated in chemicals to move sweat. Unfortunately, those fabrics (like nylon) also trap heat, creating a "greenhouse effect" that can lead to pH imbalances and discomfort. Organic cotton is naturally breathable. It absorbs moisture and allows for airflow, keeping your peach cool, dry, and balanced without the chemical coatings.
How do I wash my
Organic Peaches?
Since our fabric is pure and hand-sewn, it loves a little extra care! We recommend washing in cool water with a gentle, scent-free detergent. Skip the fabric softeners and dryer sheets—they contain waxes and fragrances that can clog the organic fibers and irritate your skin. Tumble dry on low or hang them in the Alberta sunshine for the longest life.
Why "Hand-Sewn"
in Alberta?
Mass production often involves chemical "finishing" sprays to keep clothes from wrinkling during overseas shipping. By sewing every pair by hand in Alberta, we skip the factory gunk. You get a fresh, clean product that hasn't spent months in a shipping container. Plus, it supports our local all-woman team!
